Park Electric Cooperative’s Scheduled Tree Maintenance
Park Electric Co-op is dedicated to delivering safe, reliable energy, which requires pruning trees near power lines. Our vegetation management program is carefully planned and aims to be proactive. It follows industry best practices to help prevent hazardous situations and ensure electric reliability. We recognize that while trees are the leading cause of many power outages, they are also a vital part of the natural beauty in our region. That’s why we strive to work closely with you to address any concerns before any tree work begins.
System Trim Program
Trees that grow near or into power lines can pose serious safety risks, spark fires, and cause outages. Within Park Electric Cooperative’s service area, trees are pruned or removed according to a rotating schedule. The entire power system is maintained on an approximately ten-year cycle.
If you see trees or vegetation growing too close to power lines or electrical equipment, please reach out to our operations department at 406-222-7778 so our crews can safely take care of it.
